Learning English can be hard work but remember you have to have fun as well. Spending time with your host family can be a lot of fun. If you’re lucky they may even show you their favorite spots. The best way to see a new town or city is having a local as a guide. By engaging with the family you will ensure a relaxed friendly atmosphere where you will feel at home.

You can also help create your own fun with your host family. Maybe you could bring them something from your home country. Or you could offer to cook them your national or favorite local meal. Have fun with it! Remember, what you give in effort and attitude you will receive back manifold.
